PAIGE REMINGTON
After three years of pursuing a biomedical engineering degree, I made the difficult
decision to change my major and pursue degrees in Health, Society & Policy and International
Studies. The HSP program appealed to me specifically because of its multidimensional
focus on health – I have been able to learn about everything from the economics of
health, to maternal health research in Tibet, to creating a proposed food policy in
the HSP Capstone course. I have also been involved with a multitude of extracurriculars
while at the U including being on the Student Board at the Bennion Center, a Career
Ambassador at the Career & Professional Development Center, and a Policy Fellow at
Sorenson Impact Center. I am planning to earn my master's in either Public Policy
or Public Health and move on to pursue a career in international development and global
health.
