HSP Student Leaders 2022-2023

Lydia Altamiranda

Lydia Altamiranda

Hi everyone! My name is Lydia Altamiranda and my pronouns are she/her(s). I am a sophomore...and am pre-MD/Ph.D. I am majoring in HSP and double minoring in Pediatric Clinical Research and the Honors Integrated Minor in Health! I am also completing a Medical Assisting and Community Engagement certificate. I want to become a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon, scientist, and researcher on healthcare gaps! I also want to create a non-profit organization focused on helping create and/or restructure healthcare systems in developing countries! I am passionate about all types of dancing and am on several dance teams! I also really like dystopian and horror novels!

Fatima Faizi

Fatima Faizi

My name is Fatima Nehaal Faizi and my pronouns are she/her. I am a 4th-year student at the University of Utah and am majoring in Health, Society, and Policy. I am also pre-med! I am currently a Bennion Scholar due to the tremendous amount of opportunities it provides for students to grow and learn! My end goal is to go to medical school. I'm not sure what I would like to specialize in yet, but there are so many things I would like to change in the healthcare field. In my free time, I love to read self-help books and watch Korean dramas with a cup of herbal tea.

Hannah Mundinger

Hannah Mundinger

Hannah Mundinger is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Utah.  She is majoring in Psychology, and Health, Society, and Policy and minoring in Economics. She hopes to pursue a doctoral degree investigating the social and structural mechanisms that augment or hinder science communication within the context of genomics and disability.  In spare moments, she can be found desperately trying to resuscitate her houseplants and reading children’s literature. Note:  If you have any questions about navigating university with a disability or chronic medical condition or what resources are provided to disabled students, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Jonah Taylor

Jonah Taylor

Hey! My name is Jonah Taylor and my pronouns are he/him/his. I'm a pre-dental student in my 4th year here at the University of Utah. Once I graduate, my plan is to apply to dental school somewhere warm, and learn what I need to know to help people have confidence in their happy, healthy smiles! I'm a Health, Society, and Policy major, and when I'm not studying I like to sing, play the guitar, and rollerblade. Usually not all at once. Go Utes!
